What Do the Cards Mean?

The Major Arcana: The Original Tarot Cards

The Tarot Major Arcana consists of the original 22 cards in a deck of Tarot. Each card represents a stage of life or a major lesson. When these cards show up in a consultation, pay attention. They carry a message that should not be overlooked.

The Minor Arcana

The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards added to the original Tarot deck. They are often called "Pip" cards and represent everyday life. 16 of the cards are called "Court" cards, which represent the people in our lives (Pages, Knights, Queens, and Kings), though they can also represent aspects of our own personalities. Each suit has four Court cards.
