Yes. You can contract more than one form of herpes. One doesn't make you immune to the others. However, you can develop Shingles differently than you contract other herpes viruses. You can't "catch" Shingles because it's activated by having previously had Chickenpox. However, you can get Chickenpox from exposure to the Shingles virus if you haven't had the Chickenpox vaccination.
