THW Bladder Relief Tea Recipe

If you experience bladder pain, try The Herpes Witch Bladder Relief Tea recipe to help flush the bladder and alleviate the pain. Of course, anytime you have bladder pain, you should be checked out by a doctor for a diagnosis. However, for those of us who live with Interstitial Cystitis, which is bladder pain with an unknown cause, this tea may help flush the bladder and reduce pain caused by an irritated bladder lining.

Place one teaspoon of each of the herbs below in a small jar. By increasing the amounts of each herb equally, you can make a larger batch.

  • Holy basil (Tulsi)
  • Oregano
  • Lemon Balm
  • Parsley
  • Fennel
  • Catnip

Use one heaping teaspoon per 6-8 ounces of near-boiling water (right before boiling). Steep for 5-10 minutes and sip. You can add raw honey for sweetness. Some people say that honey bothers their bladder, which may be due to store-bought honey containing corn syrup. Ensure the honey you use is labeled as raw or organic.

I make a pot of this tea and warm it up as needed. Using the microwave is fine. Just don't overheat, or it will lose some of its medicinal qualities. You might place your pot on a tea warmer instead.

You can drink up to 4 cups daily for three consecutive days, along with plenty of water to help flush your kidneys and bladder.
