THW Bath Soak Recipe

The Herpes Witch Bath Soak recipe offers more relief than just plain water ever could. It helps to ease bodily complaints, such as muscle aches and pain. This soak is excellent for anyone suffering from dry, itchy skin, Shingles, a cold or flu, or mild to moderate skin infections, such as Eczema or Psoriasis. It's also helpful for itching and pain associated with vaginal complaints and genital inflammations in general.

You'll need a grinder that can powder ingredients (I use this one), a large bowl, measuring cups and spoons, a clean dish towel, and the following ingredients.

  • Sea salt: Dead Sea, Himalayan (pink), Mediterranean, or Epsom salt (one or a combination of natural salts)

  • Seaweed (dried): Irish moss (targets the herpes virus), kelp, or dulce

  • Essential oils: For calming emotional nerves, consider lavender, vanilla, rose, and sweet orange (or any other scent that brings you relaxation). Patchouli has anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. Essential oils of clove, eucalyptus, lavender, lemon balm, lemon, myrrh, oregano, ravensara (not ravintsara), rosemary, and tea tree all possess antiviral properties.

Mix 2 ½ cups of the sea salts of your choice and two tablespoons of powdered seaweed in a large bowl. If you aren't going to use it within a week or two, hold off on putting in any seaweed. It will take over the smell of your recipe. Instead, place the seaweed in your bath directly during your soak. Add 20-30 drops of essential oil (30 drops of a single oil or a combination, totaling 30 drops).

Gently mix to distribute the oils throughout the sea salt.

Cover the bowl with a light towel or paper towel. Allow it to dry for 24 hours. When dry, store it in a container with a tight lid.

To dispense, run 1-2 scoops (1/2 to 1 cup) of THW Bath Soak under running water while filling your bath. Swish the bathwater to dissolve the salts and release the seaweed's and essential oils' healing properties. Close your bathroom door to keep the aroma inside. Breathing it in is also healing. Relax and soak for 20 minutes. Then, rinse and pat dry. Treat yourself once a week.

Note: NEVER immerse children under two or animals in water containing essential oils. Additionally, while peppermint is suitable for adults to help alleviate headaches and pain and possesses antiviral properties, it should NEVER be used on children under 30 months of age or on individuals with heart conditions.
